Futura to open North American service center

LUCCA, Italy, Aug. 11, 2008 (Press Release) - Futura has underlined its long-term commitment to the North American tissue market by setting up a service center in Atlanta, which will be operational by the middle of 2009. The facility will also serve Mexico.

With several successful converting and off-line installations completed in the USA, this is a market which has proved highly receptive to Futura’s innovative technology and approach to converting, with emphasis on durable solutions with low total cost of ownership.

Cai Hellner, president of Futura North America, said: “Futura’s presence in America is growing rapidly. We have been able to offer round-the-clock service support from Italy, plus state-of-the-art on-line diagnostics. New additions to Futura North America’s team are Justen Smith responsible for engineering and project management as well as Christian Viviers in charge of sales and customer support.

“A permanent service center will enhance our after sales service capabilities and give stronger confidence to our customers about Futura’s commitment to this market”.
