We're looking for someone with amazing hands-on mechanical skills to be our front-line service representative to pulp and paper mills in the SE United States.
You will:
- Use hand tools, gauges, blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to
- Install, toubleshoot and maintain company product and equipment
- Identify, analyze and repair product failures
- Train site workers on how to use and operate our equipment
- Manage the SE United States territory, developing and maintaining rewarding relationships with current customers using your wonderful customer service skills
- Travel 50-70% of the time in your territory with one to two trips annually to corporate headquarters in Portland, OR
You are:
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to or in the Pulp & Paper industry.
- Qualified with 4+ years of experience in the field in a related area and/or a Bachelor's degree in your area of specialty
- A fluent English communicator, with excellent reading, writing (documentation) and speaking skills.
- Flexible, friendly, highly competent, loyal, engaged, motivated, professional, and have a good sense of humor. You work well on your own and with a team.
- Ready to go with instrumentation/electronics qualifications (preferred but not required)
- Able to work in
- Mill environments that are dirty, greasy, hot, and oftentimes loud (safety gear provided)
- Confined spaces
- An environment where lifting 50+ lbs., walking, climbing ladders/stairs, stooping, pushing, bending, and sometimes crawling are required.
You'll work a typical day shift, Monday through Friday with regular office hours from your home office and travel to mill sites in your territory using your own vehicle - auto allowance for repairs, maintenance, and gas provided. During installation season, shift work is required at the mills. You'll sometimes work 12-16 hour shifts; sometimes overnight shifts, and sometimes weekends. This position takes turns with other Field Service professionals from your team and/or the Engineering team for scheduling purposes.
